Shelton International Select Equity Fund Crosses $100M in AUM

Denver, October 14, 2020 – Shelton Capital Management, a multi-strategy asset manager, today announced that assets under management (AUM) in its Shelton International Select Equity Fund (SISEX/SISLX) have exceeded $100 million, which when added to the AUM in separately managed accounts (SMAs), the total approaches $150 million.

The Fund, which has an Overall Morningstar RatingTM of 5 stars in the Foreign Large Blend category  as of 9/30/20, seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing in a concentrated portfolio of 30-50 stocks using a proprietary process that focuses on identifying companies that generate superior and consistent internal returns on capital in order to create shareholder value. The Fund invests primarily in mid-to-large cap foreign equity securities and has significantly outperformed its benchmark, the MSCI ACWI Ex USA (Net), across several timeframes.

“We’re thrilled that our clients and shareholders are showing their confidence in our strategy by allocating nearly $150 million in our funds and strategies,” said Andrew Manton, Portfolio Manager of the Shelton International Select Equity Fund. “Central to our approach is the premise that a company generates value for its shareholders by successfully redeploying capital over time. By analyzing a company according to its life-cycle stage, we believe that we can most effectively evaluate its risk and return potential, and more accurately forecast the company’s likelihood of generating value for shareholders.”

Manton, who has over 20 years of industry experience and over 10 years investing in international markets, also oversees Shelton Capital’s International Strategies in separately managed accounts (SMAs), as well the Shelton Emerging Markets Fund (EMSQX, EMSLX), which was launched earlier this year and is the successor to the ICON Emerging Markets Fund.
